What a Weekend!
Saturday we blessed nearly 300 kids with back packs filled with school supplies! It was awesome to see the appreciation in the smiles stretched across the young faces. I thank God that He has allowed us the opportunity to reach outside the walls of our church to impact people all around us. Also, I thank God for the supplies that came in from our church family that made this event possible. Lastly, the volunteers were awesome as well as we could not have had such a nice even flow without the effort and strength of our volunteers! Over 300 children received prayer and every family really looked touched after spending time with our team of prayer warriors! So to everyone that was a part in any I say THANK YOU!!
Now for today…I was praying that God would pour His Spirit out upon us as we were specifically discussing and seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Well, I am happy to say that God did not let us down. He filled many here with His Spirit and even tonight I heard more stories of how people felt and experienced His power today! Thank God that He is still interested in moving through us and using us for His glory!
Our attendance was really great as well as people are ending their summer time travels and getting ready for the fall. Several new families have told me how they have found us through web searches and various other means but they all say that when they come they just really have a sense of peace here. As a pastor I am always glad to hear that people feel like they are at home!
Tonight was the second night of the men gathering for basketball and all I can say is WOW! We had a large turnout of men and they came together for prayer, devotions and of course a little physical basketball. I can only imagine what God is doing by raising this group of men!!! Watch out Satan! We are raising up warriors here!
