Off To The Races!
WOW! I feel so much better after taking some time off last week. We came back Saturday and then stayed up really late getting things ready for Sunday so we literally just stepped right back in the track and picked up where we left off. Sunday was a lot of fun as we attended a party for one of our young adults that is heading off to NIU after this weeks service. After the party several of us went to the Balmoral Horse Racing track where we attended a benefit for one of the CSX employees that has some health complications. It is really great to be able to hang out with church and non-church friends all in one day. Too often we become trapped by only being around people like us when Jesus showed us by His own example that it is important to get out and get to know people so that through our relationships all might come to know Christ as their Lord!
So now it is back to the day to day functions of ministry! We have many great events ahead starting with the meeting this Sunday for the Compassion Ministry. Be sure to be here as we gear back up for the start of another school year!
