Good Stuff!
I am reading an excellent book right now that I am considering for our leadership team this year. Mark Batterson has come out with another great and insightful book…"Wild Goose Chase". While sitting back enjoying a cup of coffee I read something he had written that really opened my eyes.
"But over the years I've come to appreciate a unique dimension of the Holy Spirit's personality. Jesus called him the Counselor. He comforts the afflicted. But like a good counselor, He afflicts the comfortable." (Wild Goose Chase, p. 44)
Wow…If you have ever been in counseling you will get this. A good counselor will push their clients to push beyond comfort so that growth can occur!
