America!
Last night I made it in the house for tail end of the most amazing acceptance speech ever! Regardless of where we stand politically we can all stand united in that our nation has come a long way. I thank God for the courageous leaders that paved the way! We did not get to where we are over night. Leaders all throughout history have helped us to rise to this momentous time in our country. Just think…in 2001 when President George W. Bush first took office he appointed in the nations first African-American to the highest office ever by asking Colin Powell to become the Secretary of State. In 2005 when Colin Powell decided to retire then Bush followed up by asking Condoleezza Rice to take the helm. These brave and bold decisions have paved a path for new America. Today I celebrate because we are realizing the dream that Dr. King so eloquently delivered to the nation. That dream has become woven into the fabric of this nation and now we really are living in exciting times. So as we celebrate let us not forget that so many brave leaders have helped us get to this exciting point in our history!
Senator Barak Obama is an amazing orator and I am certain that we are in for one of the most exciting presidential campaigns in history! Please join me in praying for our candidates and the VP’s and their families.
