Am I Ready To Stand Before God?
Amazing how scripture jumps out at times. Look at Psalm 42:1-2
When can I go and stand before Him? Wow, how many times have we quoted parts of this passage yet I don’t think I ever realized the question that David posed.
Am I not only ready to stand before God but do I actually thirst for the opportunity to stand before Him? really makes me wonder if I am living with the passion for Jesus that David displayed. It is easy to say I want to be with Jesus but when I look at my life do my actions all point towards my thirst to stand before His presence?
With all that said it lets me know that David had a heart after God’s own heart so even though he was plagued with sin he still had a desire to loose this life so he could be with the Lord.
My prayer is to live everyday with this kind of passion and eagerness to be before the Lord! Lord create in me a heart of worship like that of David. I want to long to be in your presence!
