Fast and Pray
The time is quickly approaching for one of the biggest events of our year! The Christmas Gift Give-Away is simply grown way beyond my imagination. This year we have 500 toys, 800 bears, 24 bikes and many adult gifts as well. Now that is great in itself considering that our church is not that big! Yet this year we are adding a special touch…every child will receive the children’s version of the Book of Hope. I am so excited that this has become the reality that is before us. I had no idea how much support we would get in making all this happen. God really knows how to bring in the resources when your heart is focused on serving the community. My prayer is that while we give gifts that will break and be discarded over time that the people coming might receive an eternal gift from the Lord that will never be destroyed.
