Exhausted
What a weekend! It started Thursday evening as several of us gathered together to watch Desirae play an awesome game of Volleyball! From there the weekend was off to a busy start. Friday Camille and I attended an open house for a wonderful program in the community for family enrichment and parental development. It is amazing to see all the work this staff goes through to service the children of the community. You can get more information about this exciting free program at www.fepecho.com ..
From that we gathered the young adults at the house for a night of games and laughter! With this group we certainly had a lot of laughter!!
Saturday we attended the South Holland CommUNITY diner at the home of Ms. Andrews and we had a wonderful time getting know people in our community. The fellowship and food was so good that we had a hard time trying to leave. When we did leave it was time for me to return to the church and get everything together for service. I must admit I was a little worried about how service was going to go since I was going to dressing up in a costume and preaching about Queen Esther. I am relieved to report that the response was great and many people liked the creativity that was displayed and several shared with me how seeing the costume helped them because they are very visual and so that helped them to focus on the message.
I am excited about where we are going from here as we will have a couple more weeks of me preaching in various costumes so we can prepare to use Halloween in a way that will win people for Christ! So whatever you do…do not miss the next couple of Sunday’s…they will be different and fun as we explores some of the people from the bible!!
