Is it important to actually go to church?
I the day and age of the small groups and house churches I am often asked if a person really has to go to church. I hear people say that since we are the church and it is not a building then what is the big deal about going to church on Sunday? Well, while doing my devotional reading this morning I saw something that may help us with this…
Psalm 68:35 “God is awesome in his sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!”
In Psalm 68 David is talking the presence of God dwelling in His Holy place. I believe that when we all gather together in a place that has been set apart for the work of the Lord then we will see Him as awesome! Let us never forsake the assembling of ourselves in the holy place that has been set apart. If you want to see God as an awesome and powerful God then walk into a sanctuary and praise Him with your whole heart then you will see Him like David saw Him…Awesome in His sanctuary!
