Diversity!
The best part about being in a church made up of people from different ethnic backgrounds is…the FOOD! Yesterday the pot-luck and cook-out here at the church was fabulous and then we went to the home of Alex and Jeannette Figueroa and some incredible food from the Philippines! I was stuffed!!!
After leaving their house we enjoyed an inspiring service in the perk in South Holland where the speaker was Senator Rev. Meeks. The service was great the message was on the mark and the weather just could not be topped!
After sitting in the park though we had to end the evening with Mike, Danielle and Brianna Montijo by enjoying an Oreo Sunday from Baskin Robbins. Did I mention that I was already stuffed? So yesterday was definitely a day that I will pay for in the gym!
Finally the night ended as we waited in the hospital to see one of our friends that was in an accident. Fortunately she is doing good other than suffering from a stiff neck and back. Praise God because it sounded like it could have been much worse!
What a day!!!
