Being Used By God
The other day while I was doing my devotional reading I ran across a rather interesting scripture.
Isaiah 10:15 “Can an ax attack the person who cuts with it? Can a saw make itself greater than the person who saws with it? A rod cannot move the person who lifts it. A wooden stick cannot pick up a person. “
I find myself amazed sometimes by the gadgets that we use to simplify our life and I cannot imagine life without some of these things…yet without us using the gadget or device it is really nothing! My life is wrapped around my Blackberry and I simply cannot imagine living without it, yet before I purchased it and added my contacts and e-mail settings then it was nothing more than a piece of plastic that could not serve any purpose without me giving it a purpose. So it is with us…we are created from the dirt of the earth and without a supreme creator that designed and shaped us and without Him giving us a divine purpose we are nothing. We get our value and worth when we are being used for the purpose that we were created! So no matter what I am facing I can gain strength knowing that I am being used by the creator for the divine purpose that He had in mind when He created me!! Use me Lord so that I can have a lasting since of purpose and fulfillment!
