Birthdays and funerals
This has been an interesting weekend! Camille celebrated her 33rd birthday as we went to Gaylords for some great Indian Cuisine and then we settled in for a night of theater as we saw Color Purple at the Cadillac Palace. I usually try and do something big for her birthday but time kind of got the best of me this year.
Today began with a funeral for a woman who lived a long and full life. At 87 she went home to be with the Lord and from what I hear she lived a very full life. After the funeral I attended a birthday celebration for a 2 year old! What a contrast in one day! I guess this is a day of reflection as we see the beginning of a life and wondering what God will do in that little one’s life and reflecting on a life of 87 years spent loving God.
What an awesome God we serve!
