No basis for PRIDE
Romans 4:3 “Was it because of his good deeds that God accepted him? If so, he would have had something to boast about. But from God’s point of view Abraham had no basis at all for pride.”
Father Abraham…I never saw this quite this way before…
If we looked through the eyes of God at the Father of Faith we see that he had NO BASIS AT ALL FOR PRIDE! This really puts me in my place. If God looked down upon Abraham and saw no basis for any pride in a man so full of faith that he willingly laid his son on the altar to offer him as a sacrifice, then what do I look like to God? Even though God found no basis for pride in Abraham He received him because Abraham had faith! My prayer is that I always remember there is nothing in me that I can be prideful of yet I must give all the glory to our creator and leader and forgiver of our sins! Praise God in the highest!!

AMEN Pastor Troy — When we begin to get prideful we push God out of the way and put our sinful selfs in his place. Only God gets the glory for our lives. He is molding us for his purpose not for us to be prideful.
