Volunteers Needed for Childrens Church!

Excitement is in the air @ ROCC

The ROCC family has certainly come alive recently as we see the fellowship growing in numbers and in the awesome participation of various events. Last night was a huge success as once again one of our gatherings required extra chairs to be brought in to the room. Stay tuned for our next Couples Connection Cafe as it is a time to build up and strengthen the couples in the church body. The awesome thing to me was seeing the diversity in the room. Older couples and younger couples all joining together for fellowship and centered around the principle of Healthy Marriages! This tells me that we have couples that are committed to each other and that we will not be a church that is splintered by divorce.

Equally amazing to me was to see the number of young men that had gathered in our gym to play ball and to receive Godly instruction! I had heard that this group of men on Monday nights had really grown but hearing and seeing are two different things! Kudos to the men that oversee this robust ministry.

Between Friday’s Women’s Gathering, Saturday’s Youth Prayer Time and Monday’s Couples Connection cafe and Men’s Basketball we have had tremendous participation as we see that all of us are hungry for fellowship with other like minded and Godly people. This only reassures me that ROCC is the place to be! The last two weeks we have 200 plus in attendance and that is simply amazing as we show that this ministry is continuing to grow.

Ask and it shall…

This mornings devotion from “Our Daily Bread” was on the power of prayer. What an awesome power God has given to us. He has said in his word that if we just ask He will supply! Just imagine with me for a minute what this actually means…The creator of the universe…the one that spoke oceans and continents into existence…the one that spoke birds and fish and livestock all into existence…the one that spoke light into being…He will answer MY prayers.  This really is amazing principle of the Christian faith is that we are able to have a personal relationship with the God of the universe and he will listen and act on all of our request.  The answer may not always be what I want but he answers nonetheless as long as we take time to listen!  Check it out…Matthew 7:7-8

Helicopter Egg Drop

ROCC family let us get ready for the most explosive Easter celebration ever! On Easter Sunday we will hold only 1 service and that will begin at 10am.  This service is filled with talented musicians and dancers as well a unique word spoken through various people.  I promise you that the Easter Service along with this special Helicopter Egg Drop is going to be something we talk about for years to come.  Please register your children early and tell any quest that plan on coming with you to register their children early as well.  This will greatly help us the day of the event!

God is still in control!

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Like most people today I find myself being overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by all the violence, overwhelmed with all the division and overwhelmed with all the pain and heart ache! Yet in it all I find courage and strength in the fact that Jesus has overcome the world. That means that he has overcome the prince of the air and that the struggles of this life flee from him because he knows his position in eternity. Today I choose to know my place in eternity and to know that I am a child of God that has been adopted into a heavenly family that no longer has to fear the ever changing ways of this world!  Stay encouraged regardless of what you face knowing that God is in control!
